Gilding
When an item is gilded, it is receiving a fine application of gold leaf, and said to be ‘Gilt’. Gilding is a precise process, but it can provide a delicate and appreciative finish to highlight edges and details on furniture and panelling.

Leather
At Barfords we realise that many older pieces of furniture will have leather surfaces. Just like wood, leather can benefit greatly from delicate care and restoration.
